An Amusing Day At The Library Poem by Adam Holmes

An Amusing Day At The Library

I once saw a preacher try to read biblical verse
To a junkie on the steps of the library
The junkie politely said,
“No thanks, I prefer natural narcotics.”
And the preacher walked away irate
Ranting mindlessly
And flailing all over the sidewalk
Not about being insulted
But because he didn’t get his fix

Hahaha, yes, true. People would rather help others when there is an oppertunity for selfish needs to be fulfilled. This is very well written in that it is short but says what needs to be said. And that is a very uncanny birthdate Adam.
