An Angel In Black Poem by Noah Body

An Angel In Black

An angel in black looks over me
She's always there, ever let it be

Each of us has a guardian angel you see
Mine is always there looking out for me

She makes me smile whenever I'm down
She does her best to wipe away the frown

Her garb may be black but her heart is so white
She always brings to my soul the light

How lucky am I to have friends like she
Looking out and watching over me

She never falters, is always so true
Even when I'm at my worst and feeling blue

A soul made of gold, and shining so bright
For me her words are always a welcome sight

Though she hasn't her wings surely she's earned them
My deepest insanities she's taken, then she's burned them

Thank you my angel, may your days always be bright
I can't see these words because tears burn my sight

Tears of joy that so lucky I've been
To have you there, though you I've never seen

Thank you Monica, you're my true Angel in black
Thank you forever for having my back
