An Angels Ribbon Poem by Jamie Crossley

An Angels Ribbon

Angels wings flutter,
Moving through winter nights,
On ribbon floats through the air,
One end here and the other one there.

Everyday we live through,
The angels will shorten it an inch or two,
The ribbon will grow even shorter with every day,
Until we are together; and then the angels will snip there little hearts away.

Then one day we'll be two feet apart,
The ribbon will be gone but not the love in our heart,
As we look into each others eyes,
We begin to realize.

That the angels made you just for me,
And sent you down from heaven,
Just so it could be.
