An Awesome God Poem by Dr John Celes

Within the little head of ant
Is lodged a brain, so cute in size,
That caters to its needs of life –
A splendid miniature device!

Within the mammoth elephant,
Exists a brain of such large size,
Enough to meet its earthly wants –
A wonderful design of God!

The God of love created all
With perfect body, heart and mind;
Yet, man is dissatisfied still,
And keeps on finding faults with God!

But God made man the creature best,
With soul to know his creator;
Yet, man forgets the Almighty,
And tries to live all by himself!

The caring God loves man much more,
And sent His only Son Jesus,
To live a human life sinless,
And die for mankind’s sins on cross.

Oh, what an awesome God, we know!
Insignificant man must bow
To God’s omnipotence somehow,
Obey Him and never say, ‘No! ’
