An Enigmatist's Abstract Poem by Michael Walkerjohn

An Enigmatist's Abstract

Discreetly
thought's
depths fold
reality, as midnight's
chime resonates time's
nightmares, and that patent
teacher is immersed in mind's
companion, thinking through a
Calculus of dazzling martyrs
passing by flowers blooming
of seed implanted in roadkill; as
silence dances through invisible
ink; zeros and ones nestle
within secrets connected
to Nano dots connected
to circuits, in an underbellies
metaphor consoling arid rain
unconcerned with the absurdity
of a formulation invoking death…
Subtracted from within a mindset's
labyrinth, and compelled of a galaxy
unwound, its simplicity infamous
and from humility ground; an
artifice of mysterious source
a slate composed of the
diseased conscience
discussed by Freud.
In antiquity
one gardener's
joy turned, into the
funeral dirge for wormwood
as humanity paled and drawn
mounts a rider less horse, which
is wobbly stepping to the side of
this solitary old man; whose
mortality is not in question!
