A sweet serenade begins to sound
As golden flames dance with streaking blue heat
A quick sound of crackling
The smell of apple wood fills the senses
A deep bellow is heard
And strumming crickets add to the harmony
From the distance a green tree frog adds his part
And twinkling stars light up the sky
Silvery shadows cast from a full moon
Bright and glorious rays light the way
A field of fluorescent green blinks on then off and on again
A magical show before my eyes
An orchestra of nature for my evening pleasure
Adding a light show for grander sight
Filling my senses, soothing my night
Caressing my soul as I drift away
Excellent writing Patricia, your descriptive talents are second to none, you breathe life into every line.
My perfect summer evening, and wonderfully described by you... I love this one! You could almost smell and hear everything you painted here... Take care, Lee
