An Old Man Walks Long Before Shacharit On Shabbat Poem by Shalom Freedman

An Old Man Walks Long Before Shacharit On Shabbat

Rating: 5.0

The pleasure of early Shabbat morning walking
The silence and peace of no one there
And a long empty road ahead-
The freedom of going on
Just to go on-
The music of Shabbat prayers
Singing within me
The beauty of seeing and feeling
Nameless greens and yellows
Happy just to be
Just to be.
