An Undertaking Poem by asoke ray

An Undertaking

Come back O ocean tumultuous
With all your passion to the rendezvous
Come fill the pores of darkened dunes
Soak my heart with your wild tunes
The saddle is set on the cactus snare,
Let the looming waves take up the reins
Rushing through my parched veins
Come galloping O emerald mare
Unleash within me a thousand tears
To read the corpus I have saved for years,
Come back, stay, till I turn into a corpse…
