An Unknown Turn Poem by revathy benjamin

Life is taking an unknown turn
unaware of what awaits ahead
pleasent or unpleasent
good or bad, i know not
yet my heart yearns to reach the end of this tunnel to see what lies ahead.

it feels like i have been here for a lifetime, for all my memories have become vague..
in me, i feel only the moments spent here
both sweet and painful,
sometimes i wish this tunnel would strech forever
for even amid the darkness i have started loving the journey here

But then reality of the destination hits me..

the destination, the distance of which is uncertain
the destination, where my mind longs to reach
but somewhere deep within, my heart is terrified
what if I reach there and long for this journey for the lifetime ahead...
