An Unworthy Love Poem by Sally Francis

An Unworthy Love

Rating: 4.5

The last sorrowful kiss
Between you and me
The poison has finally pulsed
through my veins to my heart
As everything goes cold
Consciousness fading slowly
His bright eyes, his smile
Keeps the warmth in my chest
But still slowly this venomous love
Is eating away at all the precious memories
Liquefying it to nothing
So close the end has come
So close of what we could have become
Damnit why does this have to end? !
Couldn’t you see my tears
Whenever you’d say good-bye
Could you hear the pain in my voice
When you left me for her?
Why’d you have to leave?
In this bone chilling darkness the poison
Once burning now numbing
With the last time our eyes will lock
The last time out skin will touch
The words trickle from my lips as I lay dying
I will love you. Forever and always until the end of space when the last star in the last galaxy fades to oblivion ?
