Anastasia Poem by Rokket Grrl

Anastasia

Why don't you remember me like I remember you
Were those sweet days never really true
I left Russia with a hope of something more
I took only 3 coins and the clothes that I wore
But you were a wealthy girl who had all the money in the world
I knew I would never amount to that kind of girl
So I got on that boat which slipped me out of your grasp
And I left you there, stuck inside the past
You tried to forget but you never thought you could
Little did you know, that you someday would
You forgot the face you kissed and the voice that made you laugh
And you forgot the boy that left you in the past
He didn't tell you he was leaving and therefor you couldn't take the shock
You were bound speechless so you couldn't even talk
I'm sorry that I broke your heart and left you all alone
But I new there was more for me outside our home
I can't begin to tell you how much I missed you
And I only wish that you missed me too
But you can't miss something you forgot so long ago
And now there's so much that you'll never know
So my dear Anastasia I will go on my way
But I only hope you'll remember me someday
