Anchors Aweigh Poem by Eugene Michaels

Anchors Aweigh

At four, a salute in uniform
adventure leads
his way

those eyes of blue
did not think of you
quickly fade
to gray

Those swirls of hue
wave to you
as the wind whispers,
"Anchors, aweigh."
