And here we'll see our focus
A silent bird
He flees from man and beast and he
Is never heard
You'll see him thrice a day although
You'll never know
How to lose that murderous blackbird
He's undeterred
He's undeterred
He'll stare at you all day until
Flight is preferred
He wheels about the sky until
Your woe is real
The blackness he will bring you
It has no word
He'll make you think absurd
He'll eat from bins the scraps of food
You can't afford
He'll perch at your secret sweetheart's haunt
As if her lord
He'll stare and gaze without a screech
Far out of reach
He'll never give, just make you dive
Upon your sword
You'll doubt the thought that he is just
A small black bird
The notion he's intelligent grows
Less absurd
That which you feel as he roams free
Is jealousy
And one by one his prophecies
They have occurred
No force on earth keeps him at bay
And every day
He flies to keep his hellish oath
To make you pay
You'll never see the void within
His glinting eyes
For if you stray too close to him
He flies away
