And I Think It's Gonna Rain Poem by Romella Kitchens

And I Think It's Gonna Rain

So much matters.
Mad hatters.
Everybody dreads the conditions.
Folks carrying around placards, most of them signs
about their superstitions.

So many throngs
So much that's wrong.
Who's not going to protest instead of just go along?

The clouds keep growing.
No change showing.
Yes, I think it's going to rain.
Pretty sure it's going to rain.

This man says that, that woman says the other.
The third man doesn't know all the others are his brothers.
Yes, I think it's time for rain.

Them clouds up in the sky got more control than people do on the world as a whole.
They may not vote or twist about but, at least they know their roles.
They also know society works because there's freedom and common goals.
They're going to get tired of hearing this politic or that.
They're going to tire of folks that solve their problems with combat.

The storms of condition are going to swell the skies
and to shut people up, they're going to let some
water fly.

Yes, I think no matter who debates who the truth is neither knows what the heck to do.
Then, they get angry if you say so. Now, that is also
not a clue.
And, my gosh is going to rain.
Look up child, it's going to rain.

Rain on the ignorant.
Rain on the with those with brains.
Rain like it never needs to rain the same again.
Rain to cool those haters off.
Rain in the North and rain in the South.
Soak the chads and soak the men
who think they still should deny again,
that them chads were true,
just wanted to cheat and lie to win that's what folks
always do.

Yes, think it's gonna rain down on this place...
Rain down on every this and that..
Rain on the constituents who met up to wield their bats.
Everybody hates life's storms and life's weather.
But why aren't any of them willing to work together?
No doubt it's going to rain.
It's gonna double down and rain.
It's going to dump rain in buckets.
It's gonna heap rain down in trucks.
Every square inch of humanity is going to
grow some aqueducts.
Don't need nothing less with the way mankind screams and shouts.
Shake down the storms, shake down the lightning and flush big mouths out.

What they say doesn't matter it's really what they do.
Everyone of them breed anger and lots of hatred too.
Rain down on every evil word they ever could
construe!
Yes whatever the clouds cannot keep restrained, whether cow dung or ice water
it's gonna dump on down like rain.

Noah had to build an a boat now that would give you lots to do.
Put your angry duffs to work and all your children too.

Rain down on platitudes.
Rain on lies.
Take huge swimming pools of water and dump them straight on alibis.

Put men at a table.Try to make them work it out.
Within less than 30 seconds it would be a boxing
bout!
Everybody knows you can't have peace without some
clout.

So if it keeps up look for rain or, it won't ever come
again.
And fire will this time instead.
All the toil God's done and no one's using their
heads.

Maybe God will look down and say, ' I've done the best I could each day.
People are misbehaving and they think that it's okay.
I can't deal with this foolishness. Oh no, not today.
Mankind, you started all those garbage well make it go away! '

And, the clouds will say, 'Let's hit the whole thing with some rain. Mankind's so stupid, give him rain.'
Rain on Manhattan.
Rain on the beach.
Rain on the golf courses.
Rain on each untoward speech.
Rain on the name callers and all their epithets too...
Escaping from drowning will give the inept lots to
do.

Big clouds gonna sit on hate's face and rain and rain all over this place!
Yes, I think it's going to rain, first some fire then some RAIN.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Well, it is a political year. I hope no one minds a little rhyming verse about it. This poem may not be perfection but I thought about it more than many craft their politics. It is a beautiful society. I respect it highly. But, hey. A doesn't everything look fresher after a little rain?
