And I Would've Tightly Held Your Hand Poem by Elizabeth Hefty

And I Would've Tightly Held Your Hand

Rating: 5.0

And I would've tightly held your hand
As we stepped out into the abyss
But you doubt with
The doubts of your years of pain
And hold me to the flames
That others lit
But I didn't climb this far
This high
To let you go over the edge alone
