And While Hearing Both Voices Poem by Shalom Freedman

And While Hearing Both Voices

AND WHILE HEARING BOTH VOICES

Into the endless sadness of who I am
I struggle to live another day
Waiting to hear the other voice
And say
Into the endless gladness of who I am
I eagerly rush into another day
And while hearing both voices
And feeling both ways
Wonder how great a gift
I have been given
To be able to say and say again
What I feel
What is real in me
My truth
The life G-d has given me.
