Angels Of Mercy Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Angels Of Mercy

Dedicated to the care I received from the Sisters, Nurses and Staff in Ward F5 at Addenbrookes Hospital Cambridge from 24th January 2008 to 9th March 2008.

'Angels of Mercy' they are called,
Those Sisters, Nurses, Assistants all,
Who look after the Patients' needs,
Always attentive when they call.

In situations dire and bleak,
When Emergencies do raise their head,
And in others, gentle, calm and mild,
Nursing Adults, Babies and Child.

Daily, Hourly, Day and Night,
Staff are there to calm us down,
Allay our fears and comfort too,
True 'Angels Of Mercy' for Me and You.

When I did first enter here,
At Addenbrookes Hospital, again,
With a burn to my right foot and more,
In extreme agony, excruciating pain.

But now on the Mend I am,
As daily they attend my needs,
I praise the 'Angels of Mercy' who ~
Continue to assist both Me and You.
