Anger – The End Poem by Nerisha Kemraj

So deep, so emotional, a feeling of utter rage,
Like a wild animal trapped in a cage,
This is something that boils deep within,
An utter curse from the time it begins

It consumes all senses of hope and happiness,
And instead of moving forward, we are forced to regress
We lose all sense of good fortune and faith,
To be lost in something we cannot explain

We can think of nothing but revenge,
Plotting and planning to avenge,
We forget all about the time that’s being wasted
It’s hard to let go off, once it is tasted

The fire that burns within our soul,
Due to this rage that leaves us alone,
We push all away; we let it take hold,
To be left alone in the end, a feeling so cold

We cannot let this anger destroy our lives,
Instead we should remember only good times,
For once the anger engulfs us completely,
There’s no turning back, it won’t set us free
