Whales!
Wonder mammals,
White, grey, blue whales
Whales humpbacked,
Whales bottle nosed,
Whales that breathe and force
Warm moist breath out of the blow hole.

Whales are not fish!
Even the famed Philosopher
Aristotle knew it.
Whales do not belong to fish Species.
They breathe through lungs like humans.
Though they dive deep several thousand feet
To feed, they must come up on surface for air.

Big and bulky,
They outweigh and outstrip
All other animals of this world.
Even elephants may look tiny
In comparison to the female blue whale.
They weigh almost hundred tons,
The heart alone weighs half a ton!

Whales can never live on land like other mammals.
Only vast, cold oceans can accommodate them,
As they are animals of such enormous size.
The biggest and largest animal on earth
Is the hundred feet long "Blue Whale"!
Ah! Awesome creation of the Almighty,
So wonderful and powerful!
