Those who have a pet dog,
They know for certain,
That there never can be a companion
As faithful, as their pet dog!
They sit next to you, so patiently,
Undemanding;
They walk, run, play with you, so lovingly,
Unassuming;
They protect, guard you from thieves, intruders,
Undaunted;
They wag their tail, for sheer fun and joy,
Unswerving!
A pet dog remains devoted to his master,
In case, the master dies, while the dog lives,
The dog grieves, moans no end like no other in this world,
Sitting near the grave, groaning, pining for his beloved master!
There is no animal on earth, so loyal
So steadfast, like a dedicated pet dog -
His love, ever constant, honest
Unconditional and unwavering!
Focused and factual, Madam. Let me now go and continue with your wonderful work on Albert Einstein. I wholeheartedly appreciate your presence on Poemhunter. Remain blessed.
I don't know if you have read the story of a dog named Hachiko which begins with the lasting bond between Hachiko and his owner, Hidesaburo Ueno who once died and never came home from work. The dog continued to wait for his owner's return.
