Apocrypha: Psalm 32 Poem by Gert Strydom

Apocrypha: Psalm 32

From light-years away in space and time
You are the architect, designer and creator
that do take care
of a insignificant small planet that is far away.

You do determine our days and do bond with us intimately
as a loving God
and You do provide a sanctuary
even when crudely we do repudiate You,
even when we do not agree with You.

Still You do protect everything that is living,
You do constantly provide light and the essentials of life,
even to them that do come to rebellion, that do not believe
that do yearn for darkness

and Your good-natured kindness we do not comprehend,
we do unreasonable judge You,
as a being that rules with violence and might
and do give no respect to You.

Here I want to ask for Your mercy,
that still You will look at us like a father.
