Apollo To Pan Poem by Moth Harris

Apollo To Pan

You hold your chest as you start to cough
You feel the air slowly drain as the need arises
I watch with glazed eyes not knowing what to say
I offer unstable words but I think I go unheard

Now there's tears in your broken eyes
I wish for you to breathe but you only struggle
You don't see passed the past
As your fragile heart shatters like glass

You so strong holding up your fist
I can't believe your the one
That has come to this
You so bold holding out your hand
I can't believe your the one
That cannot stand

I only watch with glazed eyes
The words escape my tongue
I look at grey clouds
They remind me of what little I've done
To console my genuine friend
