April Fool Poem by Roshana Phillips

April Fool

Did I ever told you
How Of all the days on the Calendar
April 1st is my favorite one?
Yes it is!Since that day
I easily get to make myself out as a clown
For free
Just like the rest of the world
I get to be a fool without being criticize
But guess what?
It's not only me but everyone else in glee.

Did you know I fool myself daily?
I do; in believing he'll come back to me
And continue as I tell myself I've won the lottery jackpot
Though I haven't yet play
How my mind must be trapped.
Today I get to be comfortable being a fool
Mind you- I did go to school.
But that's just me
Not only on April fools

Did you know I stare at myself after a terrible breakdown?
Telling myself that I'm ok
But not even the frames of the mirrors believes me
As I pound on them
They probably think of me as a clown.
But my mirror is my favorite tool
Don't blame be it's only legal for Aprils fool.
