Araba Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Araba

Gold, Onyx, Sapphire, Topaz, Crystal, Coral, Pearls and Silver;
I sat as their Chief and i was enticed by their love,
And i was in loved with one called Araba.

Like a man enticed by a woman,
Her love was like the source of the rivers;
And i was totally lost in the bush to find my way back.

She was called Araba among the beauty of the beauties!
And i sat there as a Chief to wacth them play.
Love, there are many ways of it to toch you;
But she was the best among them all.
