Are We? Poem by Gracey Newman

Are We?

Rating: 5.0

You are the overdose in a room full of addicts.
You are the blade slicing threw sheep''s skin.
You are the bullet that fly''s out of the barrel of a gun.

And all people who prey, hope to God you are not their son.

You are the nail that thrust though his wrists.
You are the whips that bruised and ribboned his skin.

You are everything, every where.
You represent our actions, all evil that has been done, A human caused
- A mother that drownds her child.
- A husband that beats his wife.
- A teacher that sleeps with a student.
A mistress, A hooker, a gambler a thief, A sleazy politician, Global warming, A warning to change. No change, no money.

Are we...

'Lions lead by donkeys'
Or
'The blind lead by the blind'?

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

the poetry is good.. but, the things that lead to the acts described are not.

You are the overdose in a room full of addicts. You are the blade slicing threw sheep''s skin. You are the bullet that fly''s out of the barrel of a gun that is very powerful and i liked how you could feel passion behind those words
