Are You Not Man Enough Poem by Francis Duggan

Are You Not Man Enough

To stick to your views for pride's sake is not strong
Are you not man enough to admit your are wrong?
Above what is ordinary the ordinary cannot rise
Are you not man enough for to apologize
To the person that you did deliberately offend
The one who will never see you as a friend
The simple word sorry wonders for you would have done
It would have earned you the forgiveness of the offended one
You may think you are clever but you lack in common sense
Wise people with their words never cause offence
Of the feelings of others you do not seem aware
Yet the opinionated and judgemental like you are sad to say are not rare
To some others you do show a poor attitude
You will not gain respect by being arrogant and rude.
