Ares Poem by ROGEL FRANCIS SORIOSO

Ares

Ares is my brother and an immediate family
Although we fight or argue we were never an enemy
In Olympus we drink and share the same cup
We toast and celebrate till the very last drop
Although our opinion and beliefs my vary
He was and never will be my adversary
We both fight and wage far for the human race
We don't have to compete for our father's embrace
My brother Mar the God of battles and war
Who witnesses the bloodshed from a shining star
Although his authority is different from mine
We all have our moments to shimmer and shine
To fight for the God Ares is to share his glory
To dine in Valhalla and celebrate his victory
The God that is feared by all in the battlefield
The savior of the souls of all those been killed
In his next battle you will all be invited
For once again the Olympians will be united
