Comprendre c'est pas tout pardonner.
La force aiguë monte, me dévore.
La musique finit pas à ronronner
La lune pâlit pas à l'aurore.
Oh dieux, quand connaîtrai-je la paix?
Sur cette île brutale, dit-on, jamais.

I would like to translate this poem
I can make out some of this: Ariadne is speaking, she is asking for pardon (?) There are references to music and the pale moon in the sky at dawn, and in the last stanza she appeals to the gods for peace (?) Congratulation on writing a poem in your second language! ! BTW Do you know the Strauss/Hofmanstahl opera ARIADNE AUF NAXOS? Dionysus comes to Naxos to kill an evil sorceress, she thinks he is Death come to give her peace. When each discovers the other's real identity the truth creates love and the opera ends in a rapturous duet. OK, I'm easily persuaded by a happy ending - it doesn't ALL have to be tragic, right?
