Arise, Future Poem by John Sensele

Arise, Future

Very wide open your eyes
Seizing your opportunity
Unfurling your dignity
As your soar into scintillating skies

Where dreams break free
The bondage holding you hostage
As long as you cling to the salubrious stage
Stuck to the bark of the trivia tree

Weeping from the sorrow that bends
Laughter into grieving
Which lost the solemn sieving
Flower in the tower that mends

Hearts once believed to smile
Despite the masquerade
That degrades the parade
In which purity sauntered the extra mile

Hoping sanity will see the light of day
If hopeful heads should nod
Approval and strive to prod
Hermes to pray for you everyday

Lest you should abandon
The sane mission God assigned you
The day he moulded you anew
Empowering you to shunt aside the clone

That sprang up from the dead
Wreaking havoc at will
Whinging and singing goodwill
Until you made up your mind to thread

A new route to freedom
That never tires
Whose smiling spires
Fly you into the kissing kingdom

Where new vestments you wear
Love you tap in abundance
Mastering the divine dance
As you bask into concordance of congenial care you dare to spare.
