Armor Poem by Amanda Elizabeth Sanchez

Armor

And your armor
You wear is so tight
Your shadow can't fight
What good is it
When the sun draws breath
But you cannot draw your sword

Spectrum of bight light
It can cut you bare
Dear I shall spare
Your inner most thoughts
When you open up to me

Honest eyes mine in tier
Look into your own land
I'll place my steady hand
On your metal covered heart
Drop to your knees, surrender

Shining armor in command
The day passes by
Timid to compromise
Your reluctant soul
She can save the world

In darkness, the knight
Roaming, wondering for light
At the top of the hill her delight
Full of lust and desire despite
She'll never return by candle light
