Around The Corner Poem by Olawale Akinyokun

Around The Corner

i'm here
around the corner
in my hall
in the chapel
now standing in the front of your hall
i'm here
not to talk or hear but to listen
all you need do's just say
and i'm all ears
not out to have a slice into your thought
but to be there and lend a helping hand
not to be a burden to you myself
for i don't feel bad sharing with the only stone on my bracelet
'i love you' that you know
and not that i'll push you to tell me
but i need to know and understand things
cuz it matters to me
might not smile all the time
i sure have worries of my own
but my memory serves me well
to know that you were there for me
not to payback but be there fo you to
i am not being possesive here but
if i'am going to be that GUY
i damn well gotta be able to protect you
i should, could if i could
cuz even SUPS needs to listen
and see how he can save the world
here can be anywhere
cuz in the end i'm still here
