As I Sit Here Poem by Sabrina ...

As I Sit Here

As i sit here waiting, you come to my mind.
As i sit here wondering, why you have put my heart in such a bind.
As i sit here and stare at this open expance of air, i question and quiz why you are not here, but there.
As i sit here in fear, for soon will have come another year; You must think it nonsense that i would just be content to sit here.
But it is not about you, for it is my life.
It is not your choice, for i may decide what to do with my strife.
I may walk off with a lively strut, wind in my face, bounce in my step.
Or i may stay in this spot with unshaking nerve and wallow awhile longer at depth.
But whether i stay or whether i go is up to me, for i will not succumb to you-my foe.
