As I stared at the flame of the candle
A vision I truly did see,
That told of my life and my sadness
And all that had happened to me.
For I saw then the face of my childhood
Then watched as it faded away,
With all of those hopes I'd abandoned
And dreamed I'd accomplish one day.
The wax ran a river of scarlet
Like the blood that did pump through my veins,
And it then formed a puddle of sorrows
In which lay my shattered remains.
As I stared one more time at the candle
And I watched as the flame flickered low,
Till was doused by the passing of memories
And the tears of those times long ago.
It's very good and deep poem... Which is more sensitively read on fire of candles.... 10...... Sincerely, Tsira

Written with much depth and mind searching. I think I enjoyed the flow you have gien this as it makes one take stock and look at theriself and wonder what their accomplishments are... I have done this too, when I was 35 and remember it well, please look at the glass as half full, rather than half empty. You have accomplished much more than you are aware of my frined, just being you, has gifted us with the pleasure of knowing you... Very nice job and enjoyed this much.. Bonnie
Quite a deep poem Andy, written with a tinge of regret, hauntingly beautiful, 10 Lynda xx
