It says on the cord,
'As bread may burn,
don't put the toaster under the curtains.'

It says in the guide,
under 'What Is Vital',
'Remove the plug when not in use.'

The title.

'As if' we have the time or inclination to unplug the entire house. Its ok to smother toast in sweet butter but under what is vital is a clever poem's title. I think I hear the smoke detector going off.
