As It Is To Believe Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

As It Is To Believe

As it is to believe,
Truth is true as truth to be.
Leaving few to say they knew,
There would come a day to say...
Reality to interpret,
Is a waste of time...
To continue alternate ways,
Finding to debate it.
And who deceives.
As it is to believe.

As it is to believe,
Liars in high places...
Dance disgracefully around the facts.
To dismiss them to exist.
Then do an about face.
With attempts to take,
Their told lies back.
After evidence presented,
Puts them at the scene...
Planning acts to distract,
A known truth to attack.

And as it is to believe,
Truth is true as truth to be.
Regardless who sits high in places,
Seeking ways to interpret...
Truth to discourage with a deceiving,
Slick duping to choose.
Liars using excuses and alibis,
Ultimately find themselves...
Running out of gas and fast.
With nowhere else to pass on...
Their deceptions expecting them accepted.
Identified from where they reek to smell.
