As The Day Comes And Goes Poem by Shalia Robinson

As The Day Comes And Goes

Fog....
Pearl white mist...
The wind blows and the tree sways
Eyes open looking to find my way
Sun shines...
Car drives...
Time wines...
Another day is here
Heart begins to cry another tear
Eyes close
Heart opens
Following the heart with my bare toes
Reaching out feeling a presence
Next walking into the sunset
Night arrives.....
Dark.....where the moon shines
The day has come to an end
Laying thy head on a rose petal
Soon to dream
Then awake with a presence that was there all along
Heart races..
Thoughts no longer on it's own pace
Frightened that the vision is to much to take
The vision in the night
Where the light has disappeared.
Back into my slumber
Here comes the light break of a midsummer.

Very visual! I like the progressiveness of it. You go from one part of the day to another, sleep, and then awake into a new morning.
