Asleep Forever Poem by Abby Peterson

Asleep Forever

She walks around day after day
Wishing the pain would just go away

Night after night she goes to bed. She's fighting voices in her head

Day by day she tries to pretend
But in reality she wants it to end

Her breathing slowly fades away
Eyes slowly drifting away

Then when she turns out the light
Forever she can say goodnight
