Assurance Poem by Marianne Keplinger

Assurance

Giving all you have
Learning what is important
Grasping mercy
Living the proof

Calling out
Reaching forward
Standing on your own
Beating odds

Not giving into selfish pride
Allowing independence to appear
Becoming better in Life
No more crying in fear

Holding on to what you already know
Never letting anybody steal the show
Craving positive attention
Wanting acceptance

Times are tough
Who is calling your bluff?
Will it break you?
Or keep you on your ground?

Revealing your mask
Is never easy to do
Saying your sorry
Becoming the new and improved you.
