Astrology Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Astrology

Astrology

He is a stone on the wall
Copied, feet on the rock
Arms and legs motionless

Is there soul?

Fearless like David
Michelangelo's work of art
Aphrodite or Venus

Is Pharaoh, is sphinx
Mythical creature

"They don't get what I say."
His sigh is dragon.

"Talk or not, meaningless"
He breathes.

"I'm father; I raised them and expect some respect."

Sun darkens
There's a cloud
Not cloud but smoke
In stove of his heart
Lung has burned

"They are deaf, I am dumb; let me be like a rock."

His nature cats and dogs
Squirrels go around as do mice
Life cruel, old man's nice

"Should I leave? No! Stay."

He asks dice and the words
(On paper, "see your day")
