At Night 1 Poem by DUW Robinson

At Night 1

Rating: 2.7

Awoken from this tortuious slumber by de owl's hoot/mornin has come i suppose so my lids flutter open like an imploding osprey/a garrison of small bodied beetles have gathered under my foot/i look up, its still dark, so why did i awake.
Beneath de milky way my vision is transfixed upon de glorious moon/i'v never believed in fairies or dreams but in life and death/maybe i shud return into another swoon/den dis curse will surely drift away over my head.
If its not the night of the witches, den wat am I doin underneath this behemoth heavenly blanket/or has my weary soul come a-respite seeking/wind and cloud, silence and darkness/i lay and await de descent of the voices.
The moon is full, my heart pounds within its bony contraption/de beetles are gone, the wolves cry as all becomes still/i have longed for dis day, o Darkly Halloween/as i join the Spirits for one last Kill.
