Atonement Poem by Alan Fraser

Atonement

He was whipped, He was beaten
He was slapped and abused.p
They crowned Him with thorns
why were they so cruel.
They mocked Him and kicked Him
And spat in his face,
but yet He was humble and accepted His fate.
How 'loving and gentle He was to them all
He forgave their transgressions can you hear His call.
He hung on that cross for tbe sins of mankind,
He had no one to turn too,
He just hung there and died.
I thank you Lord Jesus for what you have done
for through your ressurection I'm one of God's sons.
