Atonement Poem by Majix Lee

Battles and wars, I have been in
Forgive me for I have sin
All my life I’ve lived by the sword
Next mission, assassination of the feudal lord
All I know is how kill
My mission I have to fulfill
Seconds away from the room
I foresee the his doom
I hear screaming
And I know, I’m not dreaming
Its his child and wife
I cant stand to see them lose their life
My body stopped, what is the deal?
What is this, in my heart I feel?
They don’t deserve to die
I cant just close my eyes and run by
My own men I killed to stop this killing
Now I know, this is just the beginning
The feudal lord and his family, I spare
Now I know how it feels to care
“Forgive me for I have put you through this pain”
“The feeling to care is what I have gain”
I sheathed my sword and walked away
Left the castle and saw the light of day
Leaving this behind me
A new person is who I will be
In this world I walk alone
Protect and sins to atone
