Audacity Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Audacity

Is it more important,
To know what had been done to do it.
To amaze and astonish.
Or how what was done with it to do,
Without anyone disputing to argue...
They knew.
But somehow claim to disbelieve,
The doing of it to witness...
Being done in their faces.
Yet refused to accept the truth.
And the proof displayed,
With eyes wide open.
Upfront and not behind their backs.
Leaving many heard to say with it wished,
They would rather have had it done to them.
Like that.
Behind their backs.
To give the audacity of it more intrigue.
That will add meaning and purpose to initiate,
The time it takes for gossip they create!
