Aurora Poem by Fizah Jasni

Aurora

Rating: 3.5

Aurora,
for you, I will endure the Night;
the blistering cold,
the lonely silence,
the Black.

I will lay myself down,
and weep, and feel my tears
crystallize upon my cheeks.
My blood, as my tears, will turn solid;
I will stop breathing.

But, I will not die.
For I know you will come,
And Darkness will retreat.
Your golden warmth will melt me.
And my blood will run free.

Until then,
in my coffin
of sparkling ice,
I lay dreaming
of your beauty.
