I’m so thrilled about the changes
That Mother Nature designs
As summer fades away
And new colors she always finds
I love to take an afternoon stroll
In the park nearby my home
Take my time, slip on a jacket
There’s a nip in the air as I roam
Oh look, that tree is turning gold
Where a week ago it was green
Fall buds are opening up now
Yellows, reds and purples are seen
It’s a fragrance that once a year
Is so earthy and fresh for us
Isn’t it nice of Mother Nature
To make such an enormous fuss?
Ah yes, the perfect time of year
With delicious smells and sights
There is nothing that compares to
The exciting autumn delights!
My fav time of the year, so rich in color and comforting. like your poem...T
Marilyn, I could smell that earthy fragrance and cool nip in the air as I read this simple but beautiful poem. Top marks and thanks for sharing this my friend. Hugs David
