Autumn Leaves Poem by Marilyn Lott

Autumn Leaves

We love our Spring and Summer too
Enjoy them to the max
Flowers bloom, wipe out the gloom
Though weeds give us quite a task.

Slowly the summer simmers
The flowers at their peak
Some of them not so pretty
A change is what we seek.

Ah then, my friend, Mother Nature
Grabs us by the arm
As if to say, it's another day
Though it's changing there is no harm.

Because the leaves upon the trees
Are shocking bright and bold
We snap so many autumn pictures
As too soon the colors will fold.

So enjoy all the beauty this season
All the astonishment in the trees
I smile for all the while
I simply love those autumn leaves!
