Autumn's Arms Poem by Dustin Newman

Autumn's Arms

The wind is chilled, the water cold.
But your autumn arms are the ones I know.

Out in a field, under the stars
Feeling you close, deep in my arms.

The times we shared were the best in life.
Your gentle touch was an instant high.

Tell me now as you look my way.
That your loving gaze will never stray.

The gentle breeze brings me to my knees.
Shes the one I love, Shes the one I need.

Anxious feelings and cloudy thoughts.
I lose my sleep. I turn and toss.

The leaves are falling, bringing thoughts of you.
Ours lives are changing to a different hue.

I saw you there, staring back at me.
Wondering if we will ever be.

Afraid to touch, but ready to hold.
Your autumn arms are the ones I know.
