Awaken My Soul Poem by c.a. sherman

Awaken My Soul

Rating: 4.5

Memorizing darkness,
awaiting another dawn;
Ethereal light awakens,
dew iridescent on the lawn.

Illuminant adorning veil,
in bashful rays her essence peeks;
Clouds glow a chaste-like blush,
like opalescent angels cheeks.

With attitude more brazen
a painted lady bare in gold;
Nabs starlight for her trinkets,
and extinguishes the cold.

Her celestial aura echoes
across the valley where you stand;
Creatures awaken to spring ablaze
as her gilded torch ignites your land.

In unclad femininity,
She embraces your offered dream;
Letting daybreak drip between her fingers,
to cloak her body with your sheen.

The power in your sunlight
spark the faded edges of her soul;
Flicker at her jaded psyche
in an attempt to make her whole.

Your warm ardor melts her shackles,
unearth a sparkling treasure chest;
Buried jewels of latent love,
in silent rescue from her quest.

Trembling with absolution,
skin glimmering with dew
She sheds the shackles of her pain
and enters your light anew.
