Away From You Poem by fara sutaru

Away From You

They say forgetting is a type of happiness
But why is it that I'm not at ease
Because every time I try to forget you
The memories are dashing all through.

The more I try to run away
The more your memories hang on me
It is as though you're my shadow
Without your affection I am hollow.

I feel the agony of thinking we're done
That here I am now shattered and alone
I can't even try to fix my heart
For you have the fragments right from the start.

Every morning is empty and gloomy
Seems like the sun is hiding from me
Every evening is rather lonesome and cold
Without someone like you that I could hold.
