Baby Poem by Danita Sudderth

Baby

Your world is changing more than the day you were wed,
It will never be the same again, your ears will be turned to baby's bed.
No matter how old this miracle becomes,
It will always be your baby - you will worry some.
Am I doing my best an example to be,
Teaching the important things that last beyond me?
Love will grow and deepen as you take this baby in your arms,
And if you will let him, God will help you in life's storms.
God has a plan for each day today,
Sometimes it's put on hold as we go our own way.
But he's patient and kind just longing to hear,
A soft spoken prayer, Lord, I want you near.
It's a comfort to know when you've done all you can,
There's safety and peace in God's Great Hand.
